Annual Symposium for educators in memory of Bill Martin Jr. For current information: http://www.tamu-commerce.edu/edci/bmj_symposium.asp Inaugural Symposium 2005, hosted more than 450 participants, Steven Kellogg, Keynote. Second Annual Symposium on April 28, 2006 featured Jose Aruego. April 27, 2007, speaker Ashley Bryan, author of Beautiful Blackbird (Coretta Scott King Illustrator Award Winner) and Sing to the Sun. The speaker on May 2, 2008 was Gloria Houston, author of "My Great Aunt Arizona" and dozens of other books. Our fifth annual Symposium on May 8, 2009 featured Jane Yolen (Owl Moon, The Devil's Arithmetic). Friday, May 7, 2010 will see Jerry Pallotta as our keynote.
